Patricia Sheridan

Patricia Sheridan is known for her popular “Breakfast With…” interviews in the Post-​Gazette and is also associate editor of Seen. Sheridan has been a staff writer at the Post-​Gazette since 1997, covering social events, the home furnishing industry and interior design. Sheridan won first place in the newspaper category for the 2007 American Home Furnishings Alliance journalism awards.

Ranch Redux

“I was desperate,” explains interior designer Jeffrey Graciano as he stands, looking anything but, in his Louis Vuitton loafers, gray slacks and crisp, white shirt. The Churchill native was recalling how he ended up buying a nondescript, 1960s faux-​colonial ranch on a cul-​de-​sac in Fox Chapel.

The fact that the Carnegie Museum complex in Oakland happens to be located on Forbes Avenue wouldn’t be particularly noteworthy except that Andrew Carnegie and Brigadier General John Forbes both hail from the small town of Dunfermline, Scotland.
