Average weekly wages in the 7-​county Pittsburgh metropolitan area in the third quarter of 2018 were $1,135, a year-​over-​year percent increase of 3.2 percent. Year-​Over-​Year Bankruptcy Filings

The Pittsburgh region continues to experience dramatically fewer bankruptcies than its benchmark peers. With 2,035 bankruptcies in the 2nd quarter of 2018, Pittsburgh is lower than all benchmark regions except Charlotte, and less than the benchmark average of 3,338. Year-​over-​year, the region’s bankruptcy filings decreased 18.4 percent.
