Lenore Blum is Distinguished Career Professor of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). Her research has focused on the interconnections between mathematics and computer science and, more recently, with cognitive neuroscience. She is internationally known for her work to increase the participation of women in STEM and, in Pittsburgh, for founding Project Olympus, an innovation center at CMU, that has been catalytic in increasing high tech entrepreneurship at Carnegie Mellon and in the region. She is currently working on a memoir.
