Take Center Stage Gala Celebrates the August Wilson Cultural Center
The August Wilson African American Cultural Center TAKE CENTER STAGE Gala took place on Friday, April 26 in the 900 block of Liberty Avenue. Guests enjoyed a two-course dinner by big Catering and dessert buffet by Bella Christie and Lil’ Z’s Sweet Boutique.
The black tie event included a seated performance in the theatre featuring Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Kyle Abraham and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram. The ENCORE! After Party featured live performances by the Kassia Ensemble, Roger Humphries Sr. and Brianna Thomas, DJ Nate Da Phat Barber and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram.
The New Breed Brass Band from New Orleans welcomed 332 guests and a VIP cocktail reception was hosted by Signature sponsors UPMC, UPMC Health Plan and Corporate Chair Dr. James E. Taylor.
