Riverlife Celebrates 20th anniversary with Party at the Pier “Bold Paradise”
Riverlife has been working for two decades to bring parks, trails and quality real estate development to Pittsburgh’s riverfronts. On the evening of Friday, August 23, the nonprofit organization celebrated its 20th anniversary with a blowout Party at the Pier at the North Shore amphitheater at Rivers Casino.
Over 800 guests danced to music by Move Makers, enjoyed creative cuisine and cocktails, and showcased fashion inspired by this year’s “Bold Paradise” theme, presented by title sponsor PNC. Led by chairs Kathy and Lou Testoni, the sold-out event raised $256,000 for Riverlife’s work.
Incoming Riverlife president and CEO Matthew Galluzzo said, “The world has seen an incredible transformation take place on Pittsburgh’s riverfronts over the past 20 years. Tonight is a gratifying opportunity for Riverlife and our many partners to celebrate the successes and look forward to the future of the city’s riverfront parks, trails and waterfront real estate development.”
