Gentlemen’s Night Out
Gentlemen’s Night Out was hosted on Friday, February 17 at Heinz Field Champions Club. The black-tie event was presented by Mascaro Construction Company, and chaired by the company’s Executive VP Michael Mascaro to benefit the National Aviary.
Nearly 200 guests arrived to the Champions Club where they were greeted by various National Aviary birds! Guests enjoyed a raw seafood bar, premium cocktails, and live music while mingling with African Penguins, a Lanner falcon, a Green-winged macaw and “Mike” the Eurasian Eagle Owl (named after the event’s chair). Before dinner, the event’s lead sponsors were given the rare opportunity to tour the Pittsburgh Steelers Locker Room. A lovely four course dinner was served with wine pairings for each course, as a violinist weaved through the tables. After dinner, guests filled the stands in Heinz Field in front of the jumbotron for a group photo, and many convened in the Chiefs Room to smoke cigars and celebrate the evening. The event raised more than $100,000 for the National Aviary’s education, avian medicine, and conservation programs both locally and internationally.
