Over 200 Works of Glass Art Sold at Art on Fire
Over 550 guests celebrated glass at the Art on Fire Celebration and Auction on Friday, September 13 at Nova Place. It was the most successful event to date benefiting Pittsburgh Glass Center (PGC).
Chairs Stacey and Andrew Rhodes joined honorary artist Shelley Muzylowski Allen and PGC co-founder Kathleen Mulcahy at the party.
Over $217,000 was raised to support free programming at Pittsburgh Glass Center. Over 200 works of glass art sold in the live and silent auctions. The top selling auction item was a blown and sculpted glass caribou titled “Mercury” created by honorary artist Shelley Muzylowski Allen.
PGC’s glass pumpkin patch was a popular attraction for guests to be the first to purchase blown glass pumpkins for their home.
