The Pittsburgh region’s diabetes rate for adults declined from about 11 percent in 2016 to 10.3 percent in 2017, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control’s Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System. The rate is slightly higher than the benchmark average of 9.9 percent.
