Total Exports

The U.S. Department of Commerce publishes information on exports for major Metropolitan Statistical Areas of the United States. Data for 2016 show an 12.8 percent decrease in exports from the Pittsburgh region compared to total exports from in 2015.  Coal, steel and chemicals are the Pittsburgh region’s three principal export products.
