There are times in your life that mark changes in your composition. Our trip to Antarctica was one of those times. It’s a continent without native people, but where wildlife thrives in an unpredictable environment. It’s a world without infrastructure. The scale is otherworldly and the landscape staggeringly, breathlessly beautiful. It is a landscape difficult to comprehend. There are islands, giant ice so big that it defies description, thousands of glaciers, mountain ranges and of course the continent itself. The scale seems impossible. A clearly defined line of ice melt, the blue of thousand-​year-​old ice and raw wonder define, for me, the miracle that is Antarctica.

The restaurant’s menu showcases approachable, seasonal favorites, an expansive beer program and cocktails that lean toward the classics with an original twist.
