Growth in GDP

The Pittsburgh region’s gross domestic product (GDP) increased 3.7 percent and had the fourth-​highest rate of growth from 2016 to 2017. Pittsburgh’s per capita real GDP was tied with Austin for the highest year-​over-​year growth of all benchmark regions at 4.1 percent.
